WOW!   I AM BACK AFTER A BRIEF  BREAK- GOT TO THE POINT WHERE I FELT I WAS DOING MORE WHINNING VERSUS BEING HAPPY, BUT I FELL ONCE AGAIN INTO THE VOTEX OF PTSD, TBI AND MOOD DISORDER LIFE WHEN YOU LIVE AND CARE FOR SOMEONE WITH THE CONDITION.
AM I OK, YES, MADE A FEW MOVES THIS PAST WEEK THAT HELPED ME UNDERSTAND THAT I HAVE TO UNDERTAKE CERTAIN STEPS IN LIFE TO PROTECT MYSELF AND THIS FAMILY . REALITY HAS SET IN AND HOPEFULLY THIS BLOG WILL LEAD TO MORE POSITIVE OUTCOMES  ALWAYS KEEPING THE FAITH.

LABOR DAY

AHHH, I can or at least feel the need to let my mind wander and not have a care in the world and this day allows me the luxury of doing this. I have no major plans, duties, obligations what have you just me and my mind wondering. As much fun as that seems I still even as gloomy as the day is the urge to pencil some o do items... why? simple.... I cannot relax! So I  decided it's in my best interest to do laundry, I have to keep busy , my child wants to stay in doors come on kid let's go outside enjoy the heat and humidity let' s work our bodies into a sweat and hubby well. he is not feeling too great and walking is proving to be a struggle for him so that's out too. The dogs i have more than two so this is difficult to walk them at one time so maybe i will get one to walk with me .... Please will someone come out and play  i need to do something it's Labor day people.  Laughing so hard it's proving to be exercise for me , smile. .

So in case you were not aware I am an Avon independent sales rep and I wanted to play around with a few nail colors I have collected over the  Summer to my surprise I have this awesome color combo lavender and fuschia smoking hot people I added a few jewels and whalla they are compliment worthy will snap a pick for you viewing too cool! at least I can head to work in style tomorrow make myself feel awesome accomplishment , check one down. See the relaxation won't come, yikes! Help!  Anywho  sales what have  i got this week..... hit Starbucks this AM if I continue for the next 11 days I will score a Free $5 gift card. Good Morning , yes it is a wonderful day, I feel the humidity  in the air, the neighbors are friendl and happy, had my first cup of coffee , sent hubby off to drill, the lil one has been feed and the dogs are barking like crazy, yep I am happy. So my task today is head to work, have a good day and come back home to get my home in order. Found out there exist a caregiver program sponsored by the VA great great great,  will say  going into this Optimistically, have been let down by them on many occasions this time  hoping I have an awesome team to help  and I think this time is a charm so not bashing anyone even on my worst day. After all , life is what you make of it!  Anywho checkout their website to see if you meet the qualifications to get the info you need.

Light at the end of the tunnel, really there is!

It's been what seems to me like forever since I have been able to post on my blog. Too many things have transpired since my last post. I can say my family and I are truly blessed and continue to have faith. Since my last post unfortunately my soldier had some more issues and had to face the music for somethings that transpired, we are now facing numerous legal battles and financially we are broke. But despite it all, somehow I am managing to keep it all together, while protecting and managing our household, working part time and maintaining a tight budget to just contacting creditors to let then  in on issues to allow me some time to pay them not ignore them but pay them as any good person ought to do. All this is being done with a smile if  I can conquer this I know I have accomplished alot. HOOAH!  I have learned that the military has taken hold of their soldier and with much hope and anticipation I leave him in their hands because the road painful and winding can only get better  from here, I pray.  My husband has needed this help for almost  seven years but mostly these past few months which have proven to be very trying for us as a family.   Thanking God for his blessings. As surreal as this moment is , I know he will be better than he is now. HooaH!  Let's all keep our soldiers in our prayers , the job they do is not only physically demanding but also mentally and it not only hurts the soldier but his family as well, so keep us in your prayers.  We appreciate all your prayers . :)  If you get a chance I came across this month's MILITARY SPOUSE magazine which I must say is jammed packed with a ton of quality information that is useful not only to the military population but also the general population, for the military was I ever WOWED ! with the technology and gadgets available for PTSD and the general population grab a hold of this issue it let's you in our aspects of our lives from the scholarship a national Guard wife was awarded by the wonderful and great HOME DEPOT, whose husband is no longer able to work due to his PTSD ( Post Traumatic Stress Syndrome)  similar to my husband/soldier. Great reads grab this issue, my husband grabbed mine and I have not seen it since that was a couple weeks ago. hmmm better head to my Family support area to secure another copy. LOL.
Another awesome moment I felt this week Sunday as a matter of fact was Stars  Earn Their Stripes  these celebrities Rock ! i am not one to put any celebrity on a pedestal but these actors are putting themselves out their to experience what our soldiers perform on a daily basis, and for that alone I commend them  for a job well done  and mostly because their completion of the missions secures funding for our military non profit organization  So thank you celebrities you ROCK! and to what to face the challenges of military life i applaud you !  God Bless America.  Back to my life stay tuned for some awesome savings I found and will pass them along in a few hours , til then have a great evening.

It's hard to watch my once decorated soldier , fun loving  funny husband in a mental ward from his second suicide attempt in two months.  My husband is  an addict, he has PTSD, TBI and suffers from ADHD, he is convinved that using bath salts is the answer to all his problems which are self created, I plan on divorcing if these actions continue after this stay, this condition is dragging on and on and my life and our child's no longer deserve to be apart of this wackiness at somepoint something has got to give. Face the music or checkout. My husband is  a lost soul all due to the addiction. Stay away from drugs please.   Consult with family and close friends if you have a problem seek help from your militry support sytems but never endulge in drugs they only make matters worst! God bless our soldiers , they have a difficult time once they come back and they deserve the respect but they must learn to respect themselves. I hope my soldier can get his dignity and respect back. I pray.

Well, it's time to get back to my blog focus, still focusing on life as a military wife,mommy,great wife,friend and employee, yet providing my readers with the good deals I happen to stumble upon and passing along whatever highlights happen in my life so you can relate.

At my local  public library where I work  we will be offering free vision screenings  for kids ages 5- 16 the screening is being provided by  Davisvision  & Eyemasters two great organizations, if you are not certain if this is offered in your area simply  do a litle reseach google Davisvision  or Eyemasters and free vision screenings this will tell you if they are offering such service in your area.  The screening will be offered to library cardholders  whose kids fall under the age category the screening will include a free comprehensive eye exam and if future  examinations is required and eyewear is needed  a voucher will be offered. Unfortunately, my family has been thru some very trying times for my relationship for the past few months  but despite all the trials and tribulations I am still in it to win it. Is it my faith that keeps me here  as I see and hear most would've never endured some of the meanest, abusive and  dreadful situations at the hands of the one I love.  I still have faith in me and this situation and know if nothing else I have done my best and stayed true to myself and lived my life knowing the price of peace has been by my side through this entire situation. I can say I have the uptmost confidence and am I far better person as a result of all the challenges I have been faced with, i have learned alot, I have learned the art of patience and trust.  I can truly be the person God wants me to be and be a better Mom, wife and yes person period.

Never give up!

As I write I ponder the struggles I have had and my family as well, is it because of war, was there a preexisting sign I failed to recognize, or is this just circumstance. Hmmm ... Well I  have come to accept I have no control over most things in this life. There I said it! Whew! That's a relief. My soldier has recognized he is in need of some desperate help and I could not be happier! the power of prayer so many people have been praying for us I cannot thank everyone enough for their commitment and prayers. this was and is a hard case. I just wanted to check in with everyone and say We are doing better, each day living with more hope and living life to the fullest but always keeping God in the center of our lives.  I leave you with this as I escape to be with my family if you ever get a chance I highly recommend Rascal Flatts newest CD Changed it is so powerful and a positive message appears to have went into each song , the songs are so powerful they talk to you or perhaps someone you may know who is struggling , pick this one  up I did and of course for free at  the library !  hehehe although things are tough right now, I am always trying to save a buck! REALITY CHECK

I've been missing my blogs and I feel so lost without it, the lack of not being able to release what I am thinking makes me believe I am stuck or stagnant.  I attended my Women's group hosted by the Vet Center I am so thankful  for this place : this place is my release it allows me to recognize I am not alone in this journey there are other women out there experiencing the same or similar.  Living with a husband with PTSD makes you a subject for PTSD yourself. So instead of trying to help your partner /loved one you are failing to assist yourself. BUT that stops after awhile because in life you cannot change someone , you cannot make that person think the way you would like them to think  or act even if it is in their best interest, therefore, you make choices either you choose to watch the spiral of destruction or you  move on with your life without or without this person.  Whatever decision you make is yours and yours alone, no one can tell you the caregiver, wife, loved etc what you need to do you are in charge of your life, we all have a life path planned out for us so we make our choices and live with them good or bad we deal with whatever consequences are at hand.  I am taking better care of myself after all, if I cannot take care of myself how will I cae for our child and family, I truly can't , therefore this is my new happy place or shall I say THE STRONGER , HAPPIER me making the changes need to make for me and our child for the betterment of our family.  I also realized I have to run spellcheck on every entry I guess I slacked  always in a hurry , the rabbit didn't win the race for a reason. HAHAAHa Have a great day!

The casualty PTSD causes on one's family.

As I write this entry my heart breaks I have been exposed to the effects of Post Traumatic Stress (PTSD) for almost seven years , wow! it takes a toll on the family. Another incident occurred yesterday, which has me truly thinking how might I help myself and child to be truly safe from our soldier, my husband and our child's dad. This lastest incident became more violent than it has been in this time making me stratch my head and wonder am I dreaming can the person I love so much resort to such personalty changes to make me think the next time he may truly hurt me or our child. This disorder is real and the worst part of it, is that you cannot control when our how the person with the disorder my react sometimes there triggers to avoid bu you can NEVER determine the reaction or outcome that will result.  The other caveat to this is that you cannot make the person with the disorder admit their faults or misgivings they have to be the one to look within to determine what is going on, and at times they will never be able to tell what is going on or why they react they way they do. This is a difficult life and I pray and Thank  God that he has chosen me to handle and  be brave enough and strong enough to know it is time for me to take a bigger stand and step aside and let things happen as they ought to.  The effects of  PTSD is a major disorder ...it's real . So the next time you see an article written about PTSd read and educate yourself about the disorder and if you  desire please contribute to military projects that help soldiers and their familes coping , living with PTSD.

Good Day ! I am ready to start this day. I have a positive attitude and feeling better today ( was ill yesterday) and just happy to be with my family. So for all my military patrons I got an awesome deal on Monday , I was able to save on Milkbones dog biscuits i had a coupon BOG Milk bone chew for free with the purchase of 2 milkbone biscuits, so I had another coupon that enabled me to save $1.50 with the purchase of two milkbone biscuits so after the discount I scored three boxes of milk bones for my dogs for a mere .76 each box YEA YEA!

Milkbone boxes 1.89 ea. x 2 + 3.78-41.50 = $2.28 plus the free box  /3 = .76 score!!!!!!!!!

Love , honor and respect, if you  have been in this world for some time you know these words, if you are miltary or associated wit hthe military you know these famous words and if you are married you ought to know these words, right? well, do you abide by them? Some words and phrases make m ponder  if I truly am?  As I found out that my hubby has been selected for yet another tour (third) to a remote country to defend our freedom.  My emotions were allover the place ; Why?  was my first emotion. Then I gathered my thoughts and realized things happen for a reason. Later that day we found out he will not be slated to deploy ( yeah yeah) but I wanted to ask my soldier the question why would you even consider the offer? He explained he needs to honor  his country, he was simply wishing to get the respect from his nation. Well, he can get respect many ways but putting your life on the line  when there are others who have yet to do so is  simply not acceptable when a soldier has over fifteen years service, purple heart recipient and has a family who has experienced more than most we now deserve the honor. My soldier came up with the phrase " I can go many places but my medal of honor needs to be captured at home from my family." All this miltary wife can say is HOOAH! I agree baby!  With that said, I have added a phrase in my twitter description to include Proud wife of a Purple Heart recipient.  So next time you see a soldier lets remember to honor and respect them not only for their service but for them being a human being  and mostly lest we not forget to thank the families they deserve your praises as well.   Let's remember Fredom is not free.  With love honor and mostly respect.

Oh well, emotions are all over the place , but such is life the life of an Army wife.
