Children are affected too

Crazy title? Not really, most people do not think of the cause and  effect deployment plays on the minds of our young family members. We have a young child and one minute things are going great , then next it is an outburst of crying, emotional trauma to sever frustration. We know deployments affect our young ones but the emotions just hit over the head like a ton of bricks. It's overwhelming to the point where you as a parent wonders why can I do, how can I help the child ?  More love, back off on the love, it's challenging but we will get through this patch as most or all military families do. We love our young ones and will do the best we can to help them deal with the stresses and emotions our world bestows upon them.  Think of the military child and support military children and families allover a  great place to start:
OurMiltary kids.org  - assist families with providing free activities for the military child while soldier is deployed.

Operation Kids comfort /Armed Services YMCA - Quilters spend their valuable time volunteering to quilt blankets for military kids (0-5) and pillows for kids (6  and older) these quilters are the best we have our blanket which has nine pictures of our family on the quilt and it is beautiful and our child loves, loves, loves this blanket and we will cherish this blanket forever!

Operation Homefront - I tell you, I cannot tell you how much support this organization has been to our family, from the Back to School Driv &  Christmas Shopping Spree  with the strong support of $1 Store to private donations this place is a blessing and the staff is a blessing as well.

Militaryfamiles.org- Great resource for various needs, from scholarships to family trips for the soldier and the family.

USO- Oh This hands down is the organization everyone needs to donate to, they make our soldiers feel right at home, these volunteers make us proud, eventhough as a spouse I did not have to encounter them my soldier was blessed to have meet them on several occasions these heroes make our soldiers feel WELCOME, sometime embarrassed as they fell they are just doing a job, but most of the volunteers know what it was like when they came home no one was there to support their efforts so they pass on their love, commitment and brotherhood to fellow soldiers. THANK YOU USO!  As my hubby says.. " HOOAH!" We <3 you !
Bottom line, Support our  Troops and their families especially our little ones they need our support !
